About

Clay is a full body contact sport.

Lisa Cohen is a potter, poet & novelist, local food enthusiast, and geek. Her pottery, which is often inspired by science fiction & fantasy themes, has been displayed at the art shows of several science fiction and fantasy conventions.

She works with various kinds of stoneware to create primarily functional items for daily use. She has been known to make the occasional small sculpture just for fun.

Lisa works in a home studio at her farm in Central MA and glazes/fires her work at Clayworks in Ware, MA where she can be inspired by other artists. Her pottery is glaze fired to cone 6 (approx 2,200 degrees F).

You can purchase Lisa’s ceramics via this website, or if you are in the Central MA region, at West Brookfield Art and Frame‘s gallery (West Brookfield, MA). Lisa will also have a table at the Hardwick Farmer’s Market in Hardwick, MA over the summer, weather permitting.

Unless otherwise specified, all items are food-safe as well as dishwasher and microwave safe.*

(*nb: I have put my own ware in the dishwasher and microwave for years without any problems. And while stoneware is fairly robust, rough handling/knocks in a dishwasher can cause damage that might not be noticeable for some time.)
