- Description
When Galileo was forced by the Church to recant his scientific findings that the earth revolved around the sun and not the other way around, it is believed he said these words: "E pur se muove." Translated into English, it means And yet it moves.
With one side of this mug quoting Galileo and the other side illustrating a schematic of the solar system, this is a perfect vessel for anyone stubborn enough to insist on the truth.
Holds approximately 14 ounces.
The solar system is an image adapted into a 3d printed stamp with permission of the artist and under a creative commons license. The original can be found here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_the_earth.svg
Off white/blue interior: 7 available
Blue/blue interior: 1 available
NOTE: Stock will vary. Ceramics is as much art as science & even when using the same glazes & techniques, outcomes may be different. If there’s something specific you would like, ask about it and if I don’t make it, I will refer you to another potter who can.
