This is my favorite shape in a thrown bowl. Made with upright sides and a tall foot, they are an echo of a classic Japanese shape. I throw these bowls in three basic sizes:

Small bowls work well for rice or ice cream and measure approximately 5" in diameter by 2" deep. ($20)

Medium sized bowls measure approximately 7 1/2 to 8 " in diameter and are approximately 3" deep. They work well for soup, salad, or cereal as well as for serving side dishes.($35)

Large bowls, suitable for serving, measure approximately 10" in diameter by 4" deep. ($60)

Glazed in a mix of colors,  available in earth tones, blues, or greens.
